A Life of Balance: Personal, Relational & Spiritual Wellness Through Collaboration, Psychotherapy, Training & Lecture

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #46987) with over 30 years of professional experience in the fields of mental health, social service, and education. I earned a Masters of Science degree in Counseling from San Diego State University through its Accredited Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program and have provided psychotherapy to individuals, families, couples, and groups in various settings covering a wide range of issues.

I am passionate about working with people who are confronting life’s challenges in an effort to attain greater success in managing the issues unique to their personal situations and to learn to create healthier relationships, improve confidence and communication, and experience considerable improvement in the overall quality of their lives.

My own life experience has presented me with opportunities to live in different areas of the United States and abroad and to develop meaningful connections with people from a vast array of backgrounds and experiences. I have dedicated my professional life to the service of others in a variety of settings and situations, including schools and group homes, probation and foster care, hospitals, substance abuse treatment centers, and mental health facilities.

I specifically offer my services to support individuals in the process of deepening self-understanding and more fully embracing and cultivating one’s identity while learning to more effectively manage the distractions that can impede the direction they take to live with more efficiency, drive, and fulfillment. Through my experience, education, personality, and background, I utilize original and traditional strategies in my approach which combines diverse counseling theories, philosophical tenets, spiritual teachings, and wellness education and research relevant to the current socio-cultural context in which we find ourselves.
